This was lovely boat ride to what is termed the Italian riviera, 5 tiny towns cut into the hillside and small bays, some only accessible by boat, and only in calm weather. We found it interesting that people would have settled in such harsh terrain on almost all rock, which they have turned into terraces for fruit and vegetables.we also noted as we left the port of la specia that Armani's private boat was in port-all in black of course.
Portovenere was my favourite and it had an ancient fortress and the last remnants of a temple to Venus -sadly the temple is on my other card which won't load.
